We just finished up our last night of the Kids’ Rally held at Alabaster CoG. All in all, things seemed to go very well. Our children’s pastor did a phenomenal job with the messages over the last few days (especially tonight!). What stands out more than anything, though, is the teamwork amongst all the volunteers. I am grateful for the Spiritual focus, passionate committment and Christlike attitude exemplified in those who labored this week. It is a tremendous blessing to serve alongside you guys and gals!
Also, it is a wonderful delight to have some of our very best friends (family) visiting with us this week. AJ, Vicki, Bradley, Dawson and Christian were able to be with us in service tonight. It’s such a blessing to have them here. Well, this post will have to be short and sweet, considering I’m a bit fried-eyed at the moment. Yes, yes. I know, I know. Turning the big 3-0 takes its toll!
Grateful for Jesus’ love,
Shannon
PS: If you’re curious about the title of the post, I named it after the pie that was smashed in my face tonight at the rally.

You are not 3-0 yet my friend. And that is still so very young.
Glad the rally was a success and I heard about the pie. Was it good?
Love you all

If you are fried at 3-0 you are bound to be “extra crispy” if not “totally burnt” at the BIG 5-0. You have so much to look forward to!
Counting the Days,
Mike
p.s. I spoke with Pastor–give me a call when you get a chance

LOL… Yeah, the pie was actually quite tasty. The problem, of course, was the stickiness! I fixed my hair in wacky ways each night, and the final night I borrowed a friend’s glue-gel hair product. Glue-gel + pie = a mess
Yet, it was worth it all!

Shannon,
you never answered my question about who the white bearded woman is!

Bro. Mike, the white bearded woman would be me!
Shannon looks so good in a beard, I thought I would try one.

Dee and Shannon,
I am so confused–I don’t know which one looks better in the beard! I guess you both win the beauty contest.
