1 Chasity McCoy November 15, 2008 at 4:15 pm

My name is Chasity McCoy. I am 25 years old and married to my childhood friend Robert. We have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, James Parker McCoy. Parker was born January 10, 2007. He has forever changed us for the better. I love being a mother. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Sociology/Social Services. However, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home with my son at this time. Currently, we travel with my husband’s work, but are looking to “settle down” within this year. I am Shannon’s little sister…I understand how far God has brought him and our entire family. Shannon, as well as Dee, are among the most caring, understanding, and loving people. I am blessed to call them
Family.

I am currently serving as Associate Pastor of the East Cleveland Church of God, as well as working at Pathway Press–the Church of God publishing house. Ha! Ha!

God Bless, Mike & Lisa

5 Jason Daughdrill November 16, 2008 at 1:21 am

My name is Jason Daughdrill. I am 26 years old and married to the most wonderful woman in the world (Sylvia). We have two sons: Trevan-5 & Samuel-2. Currently we are in Jasper, Alabama where we are planting a new life-giving church. I am employed by Gentiva as a hospice Chaplain and I am also enrolled full-time at the Church of God Theological Seminary.

Shannon and Dee have been such a blessing to our family. Seeing their faithfulness and experiencing their true Christ-like love has inspired us to be better followers of Jesus. I pray that we are half as much a blessing to them as they are to us.

Also, I have to give a “shout out” to Bro. Mike…. love you bro!

Last, Sonny thanks for the comment on my page. I have been meaning to get back in touch with you, but since this new job things have been crazy. Be blessed!

6 Tammy Cable November 16, 2008 at 1:24 am

My name is Tammy Cable, I am 44 years old and I have the most amazing husband in the world, Sonny. I am blessed to see what God has done for him, showing Himself true to Sonny, a professed atheist. I prayed for about 10 years for Sonny to come to the knowledge of Christ, knowing that when he did, he would give 125% to God. Boy was I right!!

He challenges me daily, bringing me closer to God with his wisdom in the word. I want to thank God for sharing His vision with me when I felt like giving up on Sonny. He allowed me to see Sonny standing by my side in worship. The road was long, but God never let me down.

Shannon and Dee, Thank you so much for being what God is calling you to be. Dee, you are such a blessing to me, I so enjoyed the time we spent together on the Ladies trip and I look forward to more. Shannon, thank you for being such an encouragement to Sonny. You gave him the push he needed to fulfill one of God’s plans for him. I praise God that He sent you to us. My cup runneth over….Love T

7 Connie Davis November 16, 2008 at 1:27 am

My name is Connie Davis. I am 57 years old and I attend the Alabaster Church of God where Shannon and Dee attend. I joined God’s wonderful Kingdom in 1994 at the age of 43. I love sharing my story of what God has done for me. I had His covering long before I even asked. For many years I was a drug addict. My favorite passtime was “speed balling” (shooting heroin and cocaine mixed). I was headed straight for hell. I have been clean now for 22 years, but did not find Jesus until 8 years after He delivered me.

My ten year old son, Jesse, began attending the Alabaster Church of God in 1989. He prayed for my salvation for five long years before God answered his faithful prayers. In 2001 I lost my husband (and best friend). He was only 48 when God called him home. We were sinners together, we got delivered together, and we got saved together. We were indeed soul mates. After his death I became clinically depressed and contemplated suicide several times. By man’s logic I should not be here today. I shudder at some of the things that I did in my prior lifestyle and praise God that “Mercy said no, I’m not gonna let you go.”

So here I am today! I have been teaching Sunday School for 9-11 year olds for 13 years now. I am very active in my church. I have two wonderful sons, a great daughter-in-law, and three precious grandangels. I try to live the life God has given me to the very fullest each and every day. I thank Him all throughout the day for “not letting go”.

Next after God, my family is the most precious thing to me, but my church family is also a big part of my life. They lift me up and pray for me when I can’t. I am so greatful that God has sent Shannon and Dee to be a part of that family. They add a bright new spark to the fire. I pray for God’s blessings on each and every person who reads this. May His peace be with you in every situation.

Chillin’ With the Master,

Connie

Shannon,

It was great meeting you and your wife while visiting in Alabaster several weeks ago. I wanted to drop by and say hi again and see how things were going. As I told you earlier when we met, I was finishing up getting my website online and starting some freelance web design. I’m happy to say that my website is in fact online now and I’m hoping for great things. I would also love the opportunity to help you or anyone you may know with anything that I can. Please feel free to stop by sometime and take a look and let me know what you think. Please keep in touch and maybe we’ll get a chance to meet again soon.

Brother Shannon and Sister Dee! Blessings to you both! I know God is very proud of you both! Keep on that straight and narrow pathway! The Lord has been so good to me. He has shown me alot of things the past few years. I know that everything that has happened, regardless good or bad, it has led to this moment right here and now as I type this. It makes me know that God is still in control. That my God knows me. He knows my heart. I know God also knows your hearts as well. When we keep on the righteous road, surely goodness and mercy shall follow us the rest of our days.
God bless both of you.

Sincerely,
Malachi

Dear Brother Shannon and Sister Dee,

Thanks for inviting us to your house and all your hospitality.
I am gracious to have met people that have their light shining for Christ, and I pray that the the Lord will continue to bless your lives. I pray that as two families come together in Christ that we will be able to grow stronger in this war against the world. I know that our friendship will grow and that this is a lifelong relationship. God bless you.
Love,

Shannon, I appreciated your presentation last saturday at the MIP meeting. I have never understood the generation gap in the Church of God. I believe you had a tough crowd saturday. Relationship has to be more important than event. It is true that message is more important than method. However, evangelicals at times seem committed to tradition than Christ.
